Start with my FTMO partner linkFTMO US Pricing in 2026 — How It Actually Works
FTMO US now runs two evaluation paths for prop trading funded accounts: the long-standing FTMO Challenge: 2-Step (Challenge, then Verification) and the newer FTMO Challenge: 1-Step, which skips Verification entirely. Both lead to the same destination: an FTMO Rewards Account once you pass. You still pay a single, one-time Challenge fee to enter — no recurring platform or monthly charges — and that fee is refunded in full with your first reward withdrawal after you become an FTMO Verified Prop Trader.
FTMO Challenge: 2-Step
- FTMO Challenge phase, then Verification phase
- 10% Profit Target in the Challenge, 5% in Verification
- Minimum 4 Trading Days per phase
- Only the 2-Step product unlocks the full Scaling Plan payout of 90%
FTMO Challenge: 1-Step
- Single evaluation phase — no separate Verification
- 10% Profit Target, no minimum trading days
- Comes with a Best Day Rule (see rules table below)
- Fastest route to an FTMO Rewards Account
What the One-Time Fee Covers
- Access to the simulated Evaluation environment on MetaTrader 5 or TradingView.
- Risk analytics and dashboard tools (Account MetriX) during the Evaluation.
- Support and eligibility to progress to a Rewards Account on success.
- One-time fee — no monthly subscriptions for the US product.
- Fee refund with the first reward withdrawal.
- Fee level varies by Challenge size and 1-Step vs 2-Step — check current pricing on the official FTMO US site.
Rules That Influence Cost-Benefit: 1-Step vs 2-Step
Because risk rules determine your probability of passing, they indirectly determine your net cost. FTMO US now has two distinct rule sets depending on which Challenge you buy.
| Rule | FTMO Challenge: 1-Step | FTMO Challenge: 2-Step |
|---|---|---|
| Profit Target | 10% (single phase) | 10% Challenge / 5% Verification |
| Max Daily Loss | 3% of Initial Simulated Capital | 5% of Initial Simulated Capital |
| Max Loss | 10% of Initial Simulated Capital | 10% of Initial Simulated Capital |
| Minimum Trading Days | None required | At least 4 per phase |
| Best Day Rule | Best single day capped at 50% of Positive Days’ Profit | Not applicable |
| Platforms | MetaTrader 5 or TradingView — selectable at checkout | |
Scaling Plan — Grow Simulated Balance and Lift Your Reward Split
Once you’re trading a Rewards Account, FTMO’s Scaling Plan (2-Step only) lets consistent traders increase their simulated balance by 25% every 4 months and eventually earn up to 90% of simulated profits as rewards, scaling capital all the way to a simulated $2,000,000 account.
Reward Withdrawals — Timeline and Paperwork (Updated)
US traders can request a reward starting 14 days after the first day of trading on the Rewards Account, directly from the Account MetriX dashboard, as long as the account is in positive profit with no open positions or pending orders. Withdrawals are typically processed within 1–2 business days after invoice confirmation and paid out via Revolut bank wire. There’s a $20 minimum closed-profit requirement to cover transaction fees, and first-time US reward recipients must submit IRS W-9 and verify a US bank account in their own name. Instead of cashing out, traders can also convert a reward into FTMO Points (currently valued at $1.15 per point) to buy a future Challenge.
Premium Program — Prime, Supreme, and the New Quantlane Path
Think of the Premium Program as a performance tier layered on top of the base Scaling Plan. Hit the milestones and you unlock a free Challenge, higher capital limits, and other perks. As of 2026 there’s a third rung on the ladder: Quantlane, a genuine trading career path rather than a simulated-capital perk.

US-Specific Trading Setup — What’s Different in 2026
Execution and Platform
- FTMO US now supports MetaTrader 5 and TradingView, selectable in the Challenge configurator.
- Two account types apply: Standard and Swing.
- All tradable instruments are listed on the Simulated Assets page.
Trading Flexibility by Account Type
- Swing accounts have no restrictions on news trading or holding positions overnight and over weekends, in the Evaluation or the Rewards Account.
- Standard accounts trade freely during the Evaluation, but news-trading and overnight/weekend restrictions apply once you’re on a live Rewards Account.
Eligibility and the Fine Print for US Traders
FTMO US is available only to adults who are US residents or US-incorporated entities, subject to KYC and tax documentation. The FTMO US model runs through two entities: JV Prop Corporation, the US-registered FTMO Group company responsible for the Evaluation Process, and OANDA Prop US Corporation, an OANDA Global Corporation company responsible for the FTMO Rewards Account (Signal Provider Program). FTMO US and the Rewards Account remain simulated-only environments — there is no client relationship with OANDA Corporation’s brokerage arm and no regulatory protections as a brokerage customer. Some US states are currently not supported for registration.
| Eligibility pointer | Details |
|---|---|
| Residency | US residents and US-incorporated entities only for the US product |
| Tax & banking | W-9 required on first payout, plus proof of a US bank account in your name |
| Availability | Certain states are excluded — check the current FAQ before ordering |
| Regulatory note | US product is not a brokerage account — entirely simulated environment, not overseen by a financial regulator |
Cost vs. Value — When the Numbers Make Sense
If you plan around 4 to 8 measured trading days, risk 0.5% to 1% per setup, and keep daily loss well clear of the 3% (1-Step) or 5% (2-Step) limit, your probability of passing rises. The one-time fee becomes recoverable with the first payout, and the long-run upside opens up once you qualify for Scaling and Premium — pushing your split from the base 80% up to 90% and your simulated capital toward $2,000,000.
Quick Answers — FTMO US 2026
Is the FTMO US Challenge fee refundable?
Yes. The one-time Challenge fee is refunded in full with your first reward withdrawal once you become an FTMO Verified Prop Trader. If you fail the Evaluation, the fee is not refunded.
What’s the difference between the FTMO 1-Step and 2-Step Challenge?
The 1-Step Challenge is a single evaluation phase with a 3% daily loss limit, a 10% profit target, no minimum trading days, and a Best Day Rule. The 2-Step Challenge splits the evaluation into a Challenge phase (10% target) and a Verification phase (5% target), with a 5% daily loss limit and a 4-day minimum in each phase.
What reward split does FTMO US actually pay?
The base reward split is 80% of simulated profit. It rises to 90% once you qualify for the Scaling Plan (2-Step only) or reach Prime status in the Premium Program.
Which trading platforms can I use on FTMO US?
MetaTrader 5 and TradingView are both supported — you pick your platform when setting up the Challenge.
